Situated in the heart of Vigan, Ilocos Sur National High School stands tall and mighty, serving as a refuge for people on their way to success. The projects, activities, and initiatives formulated by our school personnel have helped and continue to help us grow and develop as we become more aware, responsible citizens of our community. Just this second of December, another initiative came true, and its gates were finally open to the public. This activity, entitled "EstudyaNTREPRENEUR 2022", is beneficial in molding the talents of our future responsible and economically aware entrepreneurs as they exhibit their learnings and talents as they create and sell their products. As I entered the entrance gates of the booth, the cacophony of voices and rattling sound of cooking oil seeped through my ears, finally leading me to believe that this bazaar was the same as the fairs the adults or actual entrepreneurs are initiating. There were twelve different booths to choose from, and I tried my best to visit them all. I visited the charming and informative booths of agriculture, information and communications technology, industrial arts, beauty care and wellness massage, dressmaking, local guiding services, as well as bagnet, pickles, canapé, empanada, and longganisa making, and it indeed made my afternoon worthwhile.
As I roamed around the different booths and tents of the bazaar, I was able to pick up seeds of learning and information about the different aspects of the subject, Technology and Livelihood Education. I have learned that participation is indeed imperative in the growth and development of a child. As a student, I was able to participate in this meaningful activity and for the 'estudyantrepreneurs', they were able to participate in the exhibition of their skills in cooking, gardening, dressmaking, et cetera. I have also learned that this activity molded everyone of us to be more active and responsible citizens. Students are not that completely aware when it comes to economics, and this platform was beneficial in crafting more economically aware citizens of our country. Also, as a Special Science Student, our specialization was always aligned with Information and Communications Technology, so I was unable to discover the wonders of the different aspects of Technology and Livelihood Education like, Agriculture, Industrial Arts, Cookery, Dressmaking, Local Guiding Services, and such, but through this activity, I was able to enrich my thoughts and learn more about these aspects of the subject. And lastly, I have learned to help and support my fellow students and schoolmates in their endeavors in life. By purchasing the products the 'estudyantrepreneurs' were selling, I was able to show my support to them and also to local produce.
Through this great initiative, I will be able to apply the learnings that I have acquired while visiting different booths in my daily life. I will continue to participate in the activities given and provided by the institution, as long as it would be meaningful and important my growth and development as a person. Also, I will spend time finding the right information in being a more economically aware citizen. In the generation we have today, the economy is getting complex, and it is very important for us to be economically literate and aware to lessen the negative effects of the changes in our economy happening every day. Also, I will try to find the right information regarding the different aspects of Technology and Livelihood Education, for me to deepen my knowledge and regarding these and also to try these different aspects, like agriculture and cooking, for me to apply these in my every day life. And lastly, I will continue to support the endeavors my classmates and schoolmates are exhibiting. I will continue to believe that everyone of us is capable in doing anything, and all we need to do is to cheer and support for them. In conclusion, with this bright and marvelous initiative, it was a feat for both students and 'estudyantrepreneurs', both parties enriching their learnings, skills, and capabilities. Indeed, resourcefulness is essential in the development of our skills. Just like potters, we are gifted with different talents and skills, just like how creative and resourceful they are in creating pots using their talents and abilities. We are undeniably the potters of our own lives and future, and at the end of the day, the decision is ours to make on how will we mold our clay.
