As I write this as my last entry for this blog, I feel extremely emotional as I reflect on my first days as a Maxwellian. Let us start at the beginning.
My emotions were mixed when the roster of Grade 10 students in their respective sections was released to the general public. I was a Maxwellian. I felt surprised and glad, and at some parts, I felt uneasy and nervous, for our sections were shifted and mixed with the other section already after becoming classmates for three years, and it was a hassle for me to meet and get to know my new classmates again.
Group chats were created, messages were exchanged, and greetings were shared with each and every one of us, expressing their utmost happiness and pleasure as they were also excited about the fact that we had new classmates, or maybe the classes were back to their original setup as they were before the pandemic struck.
Fast forward to the first day; it was not that nice, given the fact that the weather was inclement. But the warmth inside the room made my day complete. Getting to know more about my new classmates and keeping in touch with my old classmates was enjoyable.
Then came the time everyone was excited about: Election Day. I promised myself not to include myself in the list of Class Officers, but, you know, duty calls. I was at the top of the list, elected as the Class President. I never felt any regret up until this moment, only excitement and joy, as I obtained the trust of everyone, and now my job was to keep and treasure their trust and support by doing my duties as the president of our class.
Aside from that, many other things have happened. The first quarter passed, then came the second, the third, and finally, now, the fourth quarter. We saw each other's battles, heard each other's rants, and felt each other's love and care.
We learned many lessons together, faced many wars together, laughed and created memories together, and jumped in joy together. Victories were celebrated, and defeats were pondered.
Now that we are taking our last bow, completing our Junior High School journey, slowly maturing, and taking our own paths and careers in life, it surely is excruciating to let go of the people that served as our company while traversing the journey towards definite success and a bright future. Thanks to my classmates for being with me even though I am difficult to keep up with most of the time. Thank you for everything and for helping me grow and thrive as a human being. Special thanks also to my best friends, Jeric, Zion, Keira, Elaine, Wilmarie, and Joana; you have played a significant role in my life and shaped me to become the version of myself that the whole world sees now. The memories we have created will always hold a special place in my heart until the very end of time.
To my teachers, especially to Mrs. Evelyn R. Vera Cruz, our Subject Teacher in Information and Communications Technology, thank you for being patient with me. ICT 10 has become an avenue for me to reach beyond my limits and expound on my knowledge of technology. I have learned so much from the lessons you have taught and shared with us, and I will value those forever.Being a Maxwellian was difficult but nevertheless exciting. Throughout the whole school year, I was able to pick up seeds of wisdom and knowledge. I was able to learn to become more efficient, patient, and kind.
Now that the time has finally come for us to end a bittersweet journey, I can say that all was well with Maxwell. I am a living testament to how the excellence of every Maxwellian is exemplified in mine, to how it crafted me to become the best version of myself that has ever existed, how it molded me to become a more capable, talented person, and how it shaped me to become a man of sophistication and dignity.
Indeed, with all the championship titles and medals we have garnered over the school year, Grade 10 Maxwell has inarguably become a platform for us to become united, honing our talents and skills and finally using them to the best of our abilities, despite our individual differences.Again, for the last time, I am David Aeron Y. Arellano, from Grade 10-Maxwell, the cradle of the champions!
