By the time we have arrived in this continuously developing world, we are immediately accorded human rights that allow us to live peacefully and rightfully, just like any of us here. With these rights, we are able to survive, develop, participate, and get protected justly. But in this fast-changing world, where most families cannot keep up with the pace of advancement, their rights seem non-existent because their parents are trying to make ends meet so that they have something to use and eat, and with these, some of their rights are being disregarded and violated. This is a widespread issue among Filipino families in our country, and this problem continuously crushes the dreams of our children. This is a problem that needs more attention and prioritization from everyone because it concerns us all. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly, as the saying goes.
In connection with this year's theme for the National Children's Month Celebration, "Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!" aims to inform the general public that we need to be a voice for the children. Our children's rights, such as survival, development, participation, and protection rights, are imperative for their growth in becoming more humane, accountable, and responsible adults in the future. With our never-ending problem with the violation of children's rights, obviously, they cannot answer the problem on their own without our involvement. We need to speak up for them, stand up for them, and spread awareness that their rights must be fulfilled and respected, as they are members of the community and also human beings. We must respect their rights rather than ignore or violate them, as some people do today to children. The children need us today, and, not long enough, we will also need them in the future. Therefore, in order to create a clearer future for them, we need to act now by prioritizing their rights and winning this war for them.
Everybody has their own struggles and problems in life, and we are expected to surpass these by ourselves. This might be true for some, but it will never be applicable when it comes to our children. We are supposed to guide these children by helping and guiding them to come up with the correct answer or solution. We are supposed to be the voice of the children, firmly fighting for their rights in society. We must prioritize our children, and they should feel prioritized. These Filipino children are the future of our country. They hold the future in their hands, and we need to support them in carrying its weight. We must keep the flame in their torches burning by supporting them and validating their rights. We must prioritize the rights of our Filipino children for them to be able to fulfill their dreams and endeavors in life. The youth are our only chance for success, and we must not let them down. It is in our hands to decide how we will protect and fight for our children. So, please act and think accordingly for the youth, the future of our beloved country, our bearers of success, and our beacons of hope, light, and progress.
