I must say that this quarter was an interesting one. Ms. Evelyn R. Vera Cruz, our teacher in Information and Communications Technology, was able to introduce our topic for this second quarter: HTML Tags. I felt a lot of mixed emotions during our first week. Maybe because this was entirely new to me, or maybe I was eager to embark on a new adventure that has been waiting for me. I am not certainly sure about that. Fast forward, everything was smooth and steady—not until the drapes of reality fell down. There goes the number of exercises, activities, and quizzes we have had, and of course, it was exhilarating, but it was entirely fun. Even though I was outside of the classroom at times because, you know, journalism calls, I can still say that this quarter was spectacular.
After the first grading, another wave of education had started yet again. Ms. Vera Cruz had first started to discuss what HTML is, HTML tags and their kinds, basic HTML and heading tags, and the World Wide Web Consortium. Next, she also introduced us to break and horizontal rule tags and HTML text formatting tags. In addition, she was also able to give us an insight into what hyperlinks, hrefs, and target attributes are and how they work. Furthermore, she was able to discuss with us the three different font attributes, which are font color, font size, and font face. And lastly, we tackled the attributes of HTML images, such as the image tag and src attribute, the alt attribute, aligning images, and adjusting the sizes of images. I was also able to self-study regarding HTML frames. Self-studying was one of my refuges since I was unable to meet my teacher daily, but luckily, Ma’am Vera Cruz was an angel enough to understand my situation and answer questions I had in mind regarding our lessons.
I am blessed and grateful enough to have satisfactory scores whenever we have quizzes, given the circumstances I am in right now. The emoji that would represent the feeling I am having right now would be the rainbow emoji. It would be the perfect symbol for my insight for the next two quarters, filled with ecstatic, uplifting, and vivid moods, hoping for the best. Now that this chapter has yet to come to an end, I feel motivated to unfold another journey once again. I have completed the first half, and I am over the moon to embark on a new journey with the lessons I have acquired as my sword and shield in a battle. Finally, this got me thinking: what are the adventures patiently waiting for me ahead?
I'm hoping for you to have a successful expedition! Good luck, Aeron!
