The First Reflection

After over three months of attending in-person classes, I can say that I have learned a lot of the lessons imparted by our gifted instructors, particularly in this area, Information and Communications Technology. I anticipated that this topic would be challenging, but it turned out the opposite. The positive atmosphere in our lesson made the subject more enjoyable. Even though it can be difficult at times, I was able to handle the lessons, and fortunately, I received satisfactory scores on our previous quizzes. With the assistance and direction of our subject's enthusiastic teacher, Mrs. Vera Cruz, I was able to learn new information about our lesson for the first quarter, the Internet.

The Internet's timeline has been our primary focus. The definition of the term "Internet" will then be followed by a discussion of its applications, key elements, services, and tools. The third section includes samples of each of the three data type categories. Fourth, the two forms of Internet Access, the components of a web browser, Uniform Resource Locators, Internet protocols, domain names and their levels, port addresses, directory paths, object names, and spot names. Fifth, a discussion of blogs, including their definitions, types, and search engines. Finally, we have discussed search engines, their definitions, and some instances, as well as the five categories of search terms. Contrarily, I have not had any major issues, though I have undoubtedly run into a lot of minor difficulties. I had little trouble reviewing and memorizing the lessons that would be covered in the quizzes that our teacher had assigned. Perhaps this was because it was my first quiz in almost three years, but I overcame these challenges by having faith in my ability to succeed and by keeping in mind that I am doing all of these for my future and my family. My motivation returns when I consider my motivation, and fortunately, I am able to thoroughly review the material required for the impending assessment.

The first quarter was such a bliss. I have gathered new knowledge about this awesome subject while creating more memories with the whole class. This subject, Information and Communications Technology, was more fun than I had previously thought of. I hope that I will learn more about how the Internet works, or in general, about this subject. Thanks to these difficulties, I am growing stronger and stronger day by day. Now, I am looking forward to more lessons and memories in the future with optimism. I hope that everything will be alright in the next grading periods.

So help me God.

May the Odds Ever Be in Our Favor

D reaming and expecting what you will be in the next ten years may sound nuts now that we are still in our adolescent years. Some may say, "Enjoy your childhood; you will never be young again when you turn old and wrinkled", or "Don't make haste on other things; just enjoy and have fun at the moment", but we cannot deny the fact that the future can already be foretold and foreshadowed based on our interests, goals, and principles in life.       After a decade, I would see myself as a registered nurse. I imagine myself walking on the corridors and hallways of the hospital or medical center I am working at, wearing my scrubs with a matching stethoscope on my shoulders and a clipboard and pen on my right hand. I have a nameplate on my uniform that says, "David Aeron Y. Arellano, RN", taking pride in the service and dignity my profession holds. I am serving my patients with the best of my abilities and also helping them with the warmest and most carin...

Parol: A Prismatic Yuletide Journey

The sound of Christmas music on the radio; the aroma of bibingka paskwa and tinubongs being sold around town; the flickering lights and well-wrapped gifts below the Christmas tree; and most especially, traditional Filipino parols hung outside almost every Filipino abode, shining throughout the night. Without these things, the Christmas season would definitely be incomplete. This year, my Christmas was different than those I had experienced a year and a half ago. Waking up to the tune of classic Christmas hits like Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas is You and Ryan Cayabyab's Kumukuti-kutitap, it warms my heart to feel the spirit of Christmas in our hearts again. It flashes back all the memories I had when I was a child, happily opening the presents given by my godparents. This year, I celebrated the Yuletide season with my family in Sinait. We wanted to try and experience how Christmas would be with our grandmother beside us. Before the clock struck 12, I was watching seve...

Cradle of the Champions

As I write this as my last entry for this blog, I feel extremely emotional as I reflect on my first days as a Maxwellian. Let us start at the beginning.      My emotions were mixed when the roster of Grade 10 students in their respective sections was released to the general public. I was a Maxwellian. I felt surprised and glad, and at some parts, I felt uneasy and nervous, for our sections were shifted and mixed with the other section already after becoming classmates for three years, and it was a hassle for me to meet and get to know my new classmates again.      Group chats were created, messages were exchanged, and greetings were shared with each and every one of us, expressing their utmost happiness and pleasure as they were also excited about the fact that we had new classmates, or maybe the classes were back to their original setup as they were before the pandemic struck.      Fast forward to the first day; it was no...
